Livia Carli
Studied literature, Latin and Greek at college in Imperia.
She went on to study law at Genova university; after getting her law degree, she decided that her passion was theatre. She studied at an actor's school, "Il Palcosceno", teacher Diego Pesaola, she went on to work in an amateur theatre company, and toured Italy.
In 1999 she founded Instabile Theatre Company with Gianni Oliveri and as well as acting, started directing.
Since 2001 Livia has studied opera with Alessandra Brunengo; in 2005 she attended an intensive opera course, run by Gabriella Ravazzi.

Livia has achieved nominations and awards both as director and as actress:
- December 2001- National nomination F.I.T.A. in Rome for "Best play", for the staging of "Le roi se meurt" by E. Ionesco
- October 2002- The national festival of dramatic arts of Pesaro. Award received: "Best sets", for the staging of "Le roi se meurt" by E. Ionesco
- March 2003- Award received by the city of Imperia for playing the part with a girl affected by Down Syndrome, in a video based on " Le pétit prince" by Saint Exupéry
- July 2004- Albisola theatre award for "Best actress", in the role of Narrator in "Beffe" from Decameron by G. Boccaccio
- July 2004- Albisola theatre awards for "Best group performance" in "Beffe" from Decameron by G. Boccaccio
- October 2006- National nomination F.I.T.A.in Sorrento for "Best play", for the staging of "Le médecin malgré lui" by Molière
- October 2006- National nomination F.I.T.A. in Sorrento for "Best supporting actress", in the role of Martina in "Le médecin malgré lui" by Molière
- July 2008- Award received "Best direction" for the staging of "Le médecin malgré lui" by Molière, Castelnuovo Magra (La Spezia)
In 2005 she performed in a part documentary part fiction, called "Liguria love story" from the novel "Il dottor Antonio" by G. Ruffini, director J. Liebhart.
As writer Livia wrote a short piece to defend the Italian Constitution, staged with the members of "Freely", a cultural association in Imperia.
In 2007 she performed "Press conference" by H. Pinter, with G. Oliveri, during the presentation of the book "The disappearance of the facts" by the journalist M. Travaglio; then she organized with G. Oliveri and the cultural association "Openly", artistic director S. Senardi, a manifestation called "Settembresettanta" with exhibitions, cinema, meetings, concerts and theatre.
In 2008 she appeared as an extra in the French film "Le premier circle", starring Jean Reno.
Since 2007 she is a part time Drama teacher in local schools and Colleges.
